Exhibition: Honorary Doctorates in Humane Letters

The Information Services Department at the University Libraries has created an exhibit to honor the recipients of Honorary Degrees for 2009.
The display was put up on four movable bulletin boards and placed near the Assembly Hall on June 29, so that the honorees and their guests can view them.

The honorees are:

• Abdellatif Yousef AL-Hamad (Kuwaiti economist)
• Farouk El-Baz (Egyptian-American scientist)
• Majida El-Roumi (Lebanese singer)
• Elias Zerhouni (Algerian-American Radiologist)

Biography highlights, photographs, selected honors and awards, as well as major contributions in their fields were included.
The display will remain in front of Jafet Library until July 10.
